Our Story....

Dr. Regina Armour (she/her/hers) is currently the principal consultant for The Armour Group. As a 4th generation educator, working in historically under-served communities impacted her deeply, and she sought out positions throughout her career in the places and neighborhoods that needed her skills, passion and talents the most. It was there, in those spaces, she witnessed some of the most devoted teachers, school leaders and committed parents, BUT she also encountered organizations and people who entered into those spaces not knowing how to relate or build bridges with the very ones they wished to serve. Along the way, she met like-minded individuals and they worked side by side all over Chicago and in other urban areas. Together, they represent decades of expertise that cut across multiple disciplines. We have specific research-based strategies on millennials in the workplace, and the 5G organization---where for the first time in history, five generations are working together in one community.

Ultimately, all agreed if she needed them, they would be ready---no question.

Thus, began her quest to become a champion for equity, diversity and the preservation of human dignity. She saw so many talented individuals go unacknowledged and who were virtually invisible. This exclusion kept organizations from reaching their full potential and transforming lives. Today, Dr. Armour works with schools, school districts and not-for-profits in changing their narrative from marginalizing to inclusive...from segregated to integrated.....from surviving to thriving!  Dr. Armour participated in several years of race and equity training with Dr. Glenn Singleton (Courageous Conversations About Race) during the detracking process at a local school district.  She has also studied under Dr. Jim Knight (Instructional Coaching, Better Conversations, Unmistakable Impact); Dr. Elena Aguilar (The Art of Coaching, Onward); Drs. Megan & Bob Tschannen-Moran; and other leaders in the field of transformation.

She has a committed corps she calls on regularly to work with her side by side again to help organizations move transformed confidently into the future! One of her favorite quotes is:

"I raise up my voice, not so I can shout, but so those

without a voice can be heard.

We cannot succeed when half of us are held back."

- Malala Yousafzai
